Obituary:
Jerome L. Pietrangelo, age 80 of Port Huron died August 18, 2012 in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness. He was born July 4, 1932 in Detroit to Thomas and Julia Pietrangelo, and lived in the Port Huron area since 1971. He married Frances M. Monforton on October 4, 1952 at St. David Catholic Church in Detroit. Jerome served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for 44 years with Detroit Edison and retired as an energy consultant. He was a member of Colonial Woods Missionary Church and the Kiwanis Club in Port Huron. Jerome was a past board member of Blue Water Hospice, Youth for Christ, and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He also enjoyed being a spiritual care volunteer at Port Huron Hospital and visiting patients in their rooms. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Frances M. Pietrangelo, 3 sons, Kevin (Emi) Pietrangelo, Craig (Kim) Pietrangelo, and Steven (Kristina) Pietrangelo, 5 grandchildren, Lyndsey, Kelsey, Chase, Michael, and Samantha Pietrangelo, 5 sisters, Julia, Mary, Rita, Elaine, and Marlene, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Pietrangelo, and a grandson, Cole Michael Pietrangelo. A memorial service will take place at 11 AM, September 22 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church.
