Name: Susan Marie MacDonald Date: March 8th, 2010 Obituary: Susan Marie MacDonald, 53 of Port Huron, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 8, 2010 as a result of injuries when the bike she was riding was struck by a truck on February 8th. Sue was born to Harry and Marion MacDonald on August 2, 1956 in St. Louis, MO, attended the Port Huron schools, and graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1975. She worked at Meijer and most recently at Walmart. She was a life-long member of Grace Episcopal Church where she headed up the Sunday School nursery for 25 years. Sue enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, and everything “Coca Cola.” She rode her bicycle everywhere, regardless of the season. Sue is survived by her two sisters, Carole S. and Rosemary MacDonald, both of Port Huron; two aunts, Eleanor M. Voisard of Marysville and Marjorie A. Coddington of Independence, MO; her niece, Sarah; several cousins; her extended family, Minnie McDowell; a very special “buddy,” Johnnie Murrill; and several good friends. Visitation will be in Friday, March 12, 2010 in Smith Family Funeral Home-South, 1230 Seventh St. from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Grace Episcopal Church preceded by one hour of visitation in the Church’s “Gathering Place.” Pastor Robert Trask will officiate.
