"Spider" McDonald Date: July 27th, 2010 Obituary: Craig L. “Spider” McDonald, 62 of Kimball Twp., passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in his residence following an illness of fourteen months. He was born to Robert and Thelma McDonald on Oct. 11, 1947 in Port Huron. On April 1, 1982, he married Kim M. Laming in St. Petersburg, FL Craig was a longtime employee at the I.A.C. St. Clair plant. He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, and was a huge New York Jets football fan. He is survived by his wife, Kim M. McDonald; his daughter, Trina (Dave) Christiansen of Port Huron; five grandchildren, Daniel (Cassie Stansberry), Travis, Sean, Aaron, and Muranda Dore; two great grandsons, Nathen and Austin Dore; his mother, Thelma Dysinger; his two step-brothers, Ross (Terri) Dysinger and Rick (Sue) Dysinger; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Robert and Patrick McDonald. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock St. The funeral service will be in the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. preceded by one hour of visitation. Pastor Dennis Aho, Blue Water Hospice Chaplin, will officiate. Burial will follow in Allied Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Storey, Michael Thompson, Ben Olvera, Ken Grattan, and Robert & Scott Laming. Contributions may be made in Craig’s memory to Blue Water Hospice.
